Whether you’re a Commodore fan, a Ford enthusiast, or someone who swears by European cars, we can probably all agree on one formula: V8 + Manual + LSD + RWD = Pure Driving Joy. This SS-V delivers on every one of those points while being an incredibly tight and well-preserved example.
Let’s be honest—what else can you get for around $35,000 that’s manual, RWD, under 70,000 kilometers, and less than 15 years old? We did some searching and found very few alternatives: an SV6, some utes, or maybe a Toyota 86. While the 86 is a fun car, it just can’t compete with the space, power, usability, or potential future collectability of this SS-V.
That’s why we’re confident this is one of Tasmania’s best-value enthusiast cars currently on the market.
The car can be delivered with either the rims pictured or the original 5-spoke wheels. However, we want to be upfront about two small defects.
1. Headliner Sagging: The headliner is starting to sag. It’s still usable, but given the overall condition of the car, we recommend (and are happy to resolve) this small issue prior to collection.
2. Partial Service History: The current owner purchased the car in South Australia from a dealership that had taken it as a trade. The original owner, a mechanic, performed all maintenance himself, with plans to sell the car as a future classic. While the car’s condition and performance reflect careful upkeep, there are limited service notations in the logbook.
The car comes with full Tasmanian registration, transferable to the new owner, along with all delivery books, two keys, and the factory skeleton key.
