When you first see This ML55, you will be surprised to realise that it is just about to celebrate its quarter century birthday – but that day is looming! When we first saw it we were certain that it had to be one of, if not the, best presented ML’s in the country.
Carefully bought back to life by a fastidious collector, this is a car that could easily see daily-driver duties or stop many in their tracks at a modern classic car show.
It has been meticulously maintained with extensive records, and has recently benefited from a professional respray in basalt black. Everything works as it should – even the air con is crispy cold!
Whilst it’s unfair to compare this to more modern AMG SUV offerings, the results of such a comparison would surprise many. Whilst the car has received an extensive cosmetic and mechanical refresh all of the essential ML55 AMG character remains.
Strong engine, smooth transmission, quiet suspension, effective brakes and despite this refinement it still delivers that signature AMG punch and noise. This is a car that will become synonymous with its owner.
The interior remains original and well-equipped with leather, heated seats, premium audio, sunroof and electric everything. And it all works!
